Tax Lien Tour™ FAQ
Answers about Tax Lien Tour events, free admission, experience requirements, tax lien investing, event cities, and registration.
What is a tax lien?
When a property owner falls behind on property taxes, a county may issue a tax lien against the property. In many states, the county sells that lien to investors to recover the unpaid taxes. The property owner then has a redemption period set by state law, and the rules differ by state and county.
What actually happens at a Tax Lien Tour™ event?
Each event is a live, roughly 90-minute educational session. Experienced educators explain how tax liens work in plain language and walk through a real buying demonstration — researching a county, evaluating an opportunity, and showing how a tax lien purchase is made — followed by live Q&A.
Is it really free to attend?
Yes. Admission to the live Tax Lien Tour™ events is complimentary. Seating is limited by city, so we ask attendees to reserve a seat in advance.
Do I need real estate experience?
No. The tour is designed for people who are brand new to real estate investing as well as those looking for an alternative strategy. We start from the ground up with clear, practical education.
How much money do I need to get started?
That depends on the county, the auction, and the specific lien. One of the things the tour covers is how the costs and process actually work so you can understand what's involved before risking any money.
Will the tour come to my city?
The tour is planned for more than 30 cities across America, with additional stops announced over time. Use the city list and registration form to request updates.
